6v6 Shootout Raises $2,300 for Baczmaga Memorial Fund

Image Five champions were crowned this past weekend at the 2008 Charleston 6v6 Shootout held at the James Island Youth Soccer Club.  Two teams were from out of town: the B-52's (Columbia) won the Coed Rec divison and the Fireballs (Knoxville, TN) won the Men's Premier division. The other division champs were: SPIRFLOBEWAN (Men's Masters 30), San Luis (Men's 1st), and Madra Rua (Men's 2nd). This year's tournament also served another purpose; it was a fundraiser for the Kris Baczmaga Memorial Fund

A big thank you goes out to all of the (26) teams that participated in the very "hot" event and contributed to the KBMF. A special thanks to the teams that donated their cash prizes to the fundraiser. Over $2,300 was raised for the Baczmaga's.

Lowcountry Soccer would also like to extend its gratitude to the event's great sponsors for their support: McDonald's, Red Bull USA, Trident Sports Medicine, Lloyd's Soccer, and El Sol 98.9 FM.
