The LSL's Spring season came to a close last night at the James Island YSC fields with SCFC/LC Alliance winning the Men's II division over Spoccer FC by the score of 7-2 and Apaseo repeating as Men's I division champs with a hard fought 3-2 win against Real Miraflores.

Alex Voelker led off the scoring for SCFC/LC 10 minutes into the first half. Kristian Larson followed with two more goals and Spoccer FC's Joe Gartner made it a respectable 3-1 at the half. In the 2nd half SCFC/LC was simply too much and scored 4 more goals by Silas Turner(2), Mathias Kaufold, and Derek Workman. DJ Tyree tallied a goal for Spoccer FC. The MVP for the match was the Spoccer FC goalkeeper Brian Baumgartner who came up big with so many stops and singlehandedly kept his team in the match.
The Men's I division final featured defending champ Apaseo playing against Real Miraflores with only 6 players. "Pajara" Vega, from Mexico, scored first for Apaseo, but that would the only goal in the opening half of play. "Paco", from Peru, who has scored 75% of the goals for RM tied the game on a penalty kick just before halftime. Apaseo went ahead on a goal by Oscar Alvarez, but "Paco" was able to work his way through 3 tacklers and poke his 2nd goal on the near post, beating Chabelo Perez. RM had several opportunities to go ahead, but could not finish off their rivals. "Pajara" scored the winning goals with 3 minutes to go and was also declared the match MVP.
