Apaseo wins 2009 Copa Charleston Print

Image(1-30-09) After losing to Real Miraflores in last year's Copa Charleston final, Apaseo was not about to relive the same outcome. Instead they won the 2009 Copa Charleston tournament with a convincing 9-5 win over FC Brazil. Ironically, they did it without the firepower of Ian O'Shea who had up until the championship tallied 23 goals in the tournament. Eusebio "Chivo" Perez took on that responsibility by scoring 4 goals to lead Apaseo. The Brazilians were not able to play at their usual level due to several injuries to key players like Vladimir Silviero and Wesley Silva and their goalkeeper who had been out since their morning quarterfinal match. Ian O'Shea did however win a personal double taking home both the "Golden Boot" and tournament "MVP" awards.

Lowcountry  Soccer would like to thank the following businesses and organizations for their tremendous support:
Madra Rua Pub, Lloyd's Soccer, Joye Law Firm, North Charleston Recreation Dept. and North Charleston High School.
