The Lower State Youth Soccer Association recently created a new position, League Commissioner. LSYSA voted in Kenyon Cook as its "new" League Commissioner. "I am very grateful and honored to serve youth soccer the Lowcountry. My first priority will be to re-kindle the spirit and excitement of youth soccer and to re-establish LSYSA as a leader in the youth soccer community" said Kenyon.

The Lowcountry Youth Soccer League represents the "new" identity of the LSYSA and gives youth soccer a better opportunity to market itself and promote the sport. "We are currently reaching out into the business community for support of youth soccer so that we can improve the services provided by the LYSL to all of the boys and girls that play in our league"

The inaugural season (Fall 2007) of the LYSL featured 74 teams from U9 thru U16. Photos of all of the division champions are online as are the results from the playoffs. The LYSL is grateful for all of the teams that played this past fall.

Registration for the Spring season is now open online. The LYSL will use GotSoccer as its league management program which will enable players, coaches, and parents to easily access schedules, scores, and standings. At the end of the season, the LYSL will have its Championship Days with each division having semi-finals in the morning and finals in the afternoon.
